About Us

Nelson-based, South Island wide

KiwiHealth Asbestos Services is headquartered in Nelson, New Zealand, and works right across the South Island — from small residential jobs to large-scale commercial projects. With over 10 years of hands-on experience in asbestos removal, we've built our reputation on doing the job right the first time: safely, compliantly, and without the runaround.

Who we work with

We take on jobs of every size — homeowners needing a small area cleared, builders working around asbestos on a renovation, and commercial clients needing full site removal. No job is treated as "too small" or "too complex" to do properly.

Qualifications & compliance

Licensed, insured, and accountable

Asbestos work in New Zealand is tightly regulated for good reason. Here's the paperwork and credentials behind every KiwiHealth job.

WorkSafe NZ Class A Licence

Approved to remove friable asbestos — the highest-risk category — under WorkSafe NZ regulations.

WorkSafe NZ Class B Licence

Licensed for non-friable asbestos removal over 10m², covering the vast majority of residential and commercial jobs.

10+ years' experience

A decade of hands-on removal work across the South Island — residential, commercial, and builder support.

First Aid certified team

Every crew member holds a current First Aid certificate, so we're prepared on every site.

Fully insured

Public liability and asbestos-specific insurance cover — you're protected from start to finish.

Independent air monitoring & clearance

We work with independent, IANZ-accredited laboratories for testing and clearance certificates.

Site-specific safety plans

Every job gets a written Asbestos Removal Control Plan (ARCP) and notification to WorkSafe where required.

Compliant disposal

All waste is double-wrapped, tracked, and disposed of at approved landfill facilities.

Why it matters

Asbestos removal isn't a job for guesswork. It has to be tested properly, removed by licensed professionals, and disposed of correctly — every time, without exception. That's exactly what we do.
